Hanging Rock State Park

On May 19-21 Pack 108 will be camping out at Hanging Rock State Park in Danbury NC. Pack 108 currently has 3 large group campsites that can accommodate 16 people per site with access to bathrooms and showers nearby. This is a true get back to nature campout with Dens having the ability to plan and execute numerous rank related requirements while camping.
The Pack’s Outdoor Activity Chair, Ryan, will organize a Pack Hike to the summit of Hanging Rock which will offer exceptional views of the surrounding area as well as Photo Opportunity for the Pack and Families. This hike will most likely occur in the early Saturday morning hours to avoid the heat of mid-day. This event will be weather dependent. In the afternoon the Scouts will have access to the guarded beach for some lake side swimming or be able to cool off in the wading pools created by the many different waterfalls in the area.  This should be an awesome experience for the Scouts and Families to unplug from the daily grind and really enjoy some great Nature made adventures all in 1 location.

Check in will be after 2pm on Friday May 19

Check out is by Noon on Sunday May 21

Pack 108 is covering all the cost for the campsites- so there is no cost for families to attend.
