Come enjoy an afternoon at Tweetsie Railroad near Blowing Rock, NC and a night at Blue Bear Campground in Todd, NC.  Registration is on the form below.  

The discount at Tweetsie RR will be $7.00 off the regular fee if we enter together at 3:00 PM and have at least 15 people.  All must be present at 3:00 PM to enter as one group.  If we do not have at least 15 or you show up after we enter at 3:00 PM, you will have to pay regular fees.  If we enter at 3:00 PM, we will also get free admission on Sunday if you wish to return on your own.  Tweetsie RR is located off of Hwy 321 between Blowing Rock and Boone, NC.  The address is 300 Tweetsie Railroad Lane, Blowing Rock, NC 28605.  Additional information can be found at

To campout, the fee is $5.00 per person for Scouts, Leaders and kids 12 and under.  The fee for non-Scouts/Leaders and those over 12 will be $7 per person.  Blue Bear Campground is at 196 Blue Bear Mountain Road, Todd, NC 28684.  You can check in as early as noon on Saturday.  To camp, you need to be signed up online by July 29th.

Note: Blue Bear Campground is about 13 miles/25 minutes from Tweetsie RR.

    I understand that participation in Scouting activities involves the risk of personal injury, including death, due to the physical, mental, and emotional challenges in the activities offered. Information about those activities may be obtained from the venue, activity coordinators, or our pack, district or council.     In case of an emergency involving my child or attending family members, I understand that efforts will be made to contact me. In the event I cannot be reached, permission is hereby given to the medical provider to secure proper treatment, including hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, or injections of medication for my child or family member. Medical providers are authorized to disclose protected health information to the adult in charge and/or any physician or health care provider involved in providing medical care to the participant. Protected Health Information/Confidential Health Information (PHI/CHI) under the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information, 45 C.F.R. §§160.103, 164.501, etc. seq., as amended from time to time, includes examination findings, test results, and treatment provided for purposes of medical evaluation of the participant, follow-up and communication with the participant’s parents or guardian, and/or determination of the participant’s ability to continue in the program activities.

    With appreciation of the dangers and risks associated with programs and activities including preparations for and transportation to and from the activity, on my own behalf and/or on behalf of my child or family member, I hereby fully and completely release and waive any and all claims for personal injury, death, or loss that may arise against the Boy Scouts of America, the local council, the activity coordinators, and all employees, volunteers, related parties, or other organizations associated with any program or activity.
