Riverbank Zoo Sleepover

Pack 108 will participate in the overnight program ” Nature’s Night Owl’s” on Saturday Feb 22nd-23rd. Please arrive at the zoo by 5:45pm for a 6pm check in.  Dinner that night and breakfast the following morning will be provided. Saturday Night the Scouts will learn about some of the Nocturnal Animals at the zoo and participate in a scavenger hunt.  We will be sleeping indoors in the Discovery Center, so we are not affected by rain or cold weather. Sleeping will be on the ground so bring sleeping pads/sleeping bags/pillows. NO AIR-MATRESSES. The following Moring we will help get one of the animal enclosures ready and then after breakfast and pack up our gear- Scouts and their families will have free access to enjoy the entire Zoo at their leisure. Once the zoo opens, the event switches from a Pack event to a Family Leisure events so you can enjoy the zoo at your leisure and head home when best for your family. 

The Cost is 85.00 per person. The cost does include Dinner (pizza) and Breakfast (Continental style) plus admission to the Zoo on Sunday ($25.00 value).

Scouter Waiver for Riverbank Zoo

Overnight Chaperone (Adult) Contract 

Every Adult will need to sign and turn in a Chapparone Contract and Every Scout needs a Waiver signed.

Below are pictures from 2022 when Pack 108 did this event. This was one of the first events we did post COVID so the program may have changed slightly but this was what we experienced.

Arrived and Dropped Gear
Went to the Restuarant and had dinner
Gathered Back in the Discovery Room for a Critter Show and Pet event.
Did an animal habitat building Activity
Broke into groups and then did a scavenger hunt throughout the zoo at night and got to see the nocturnal animals in their enclosures.

In the AM we had Breakfast and Pack up our gear.
The scouts then were able to go into the Giraffe enclosure to work with the zookeepers to get their food and play area set up for the day.

Then the zoo opened, and we enjoyed the zoo!
