One time a year, the Huntington Beach State Park Rangers host an overnight campout inside the historic Atalayah Castle. Pack 108 is venturing to Murrells Inlet, SC to take part in this unique opportunity. The Overnight is Saturday Nov 11 @ 4pm to Sunday Nov. 12 10am. Cost will be $50/adult and $30/Child. The park service provides Dinner and Breakfast as part of the programs as well as a castle tour, scavenger hunt, ghost stories around the campfire. Since this event is held 1 weekend a year, registration fills up quickly and typically by end of Aug/early Sept so to ensure spots for Pack 108. Some families may opt to get a hotel room Friday night an make a weekend out of this trip. Currently all campsites are full for this time of year. Families will have the choice of sleeping in a tent or in a “room”. The rooms are just open aired space- you’ll still need to bring items for sleeping. Currently most families in Pack 108 are looking at doing a room option. Payment will be due at the end of September.
