Welcome back to an exciting new year for Pack 108. Our first campout of the year will be at Chester State Park from September 11-13, 2026. For this campout, the pack will be conducting a service project for the state park. We will split into 2 teams and will clean up both the lake trail, and disc golf course on the morning of Saturday 9/12/2026. The evening of Saturday 9/12/2026 will consist of a campfire cooking program. A detailed itinerary will be sent to all who register for the event.
Chester State Park is located only 45 minutes from Fort Mill and offers numerous amenities and things to do. Fishing, disc golf, hiking, large open fields, and a playground for our younger scouts.
Families who wish to camp both nights or only one night are welcome. Families who wish to attend for the day on Saturday 9/12/2026 are welcome.
Event Costs:
- Families camping both nights (9/11/2026 and 9/12/2026): $10.00 per family.
- Families camping for one night (9/11/206 or 9/12/2026): $5.00 per family.
- Families attending for the day (Saturday 9/12/2026.: These families will need to cover their own daily state park admission fee at the time of arrival. ($3.00 per adult and $1.00 for all children between 6-15 years old)
Registration:
The signup form is attached below. We are limited to a total number of 50 people each night at the campsite. Registration will be on a first come first served basis.

Arrival Time:
Families arriving on Friday 9/11/2026 can arrive beginning at 4pm. Families that will arrive on Saturday 9/12/2026 can arrive as soon as the state park opens at 9am
Camping Area: We will be camping at primitive area #1. We have a campsite reserved for Saturday night in the RV area which families can use for parking to access the shower facilities. We will not have access to the shower facilities on Friday night, but restroom facilities are available 24/7 near our camping area.
Food: Families are responsible for their own food. Downtown Chester SC is located 10 minutes from the state park with access to numerous restaurants for those that do not wish to cook. The campfire cooking program on Saturday night will consist of tin foil hobo dinners. We will have the kids prepare their own hobo dinners and will be cooked by the adults in the large firepit located at the site. A basic recipe for tin foil hobo dinners will be provided in the “What to bring” section of the information to be sent out after registering prior to the event. Families do not need to follow this exactly. Please provide whatever your family is comfortable with. A Food Lion grocery store is also located within 10 minutes of the state park.
