Join Pack 108 as we travel back in time to 1865 and watch the historic Battle of Bentonville- home the last major conflict of the civil war during General William T. Sherman’s famous “March to the Sea” This battlefield, once a year transforms to the largest reenactment of the battle hosting over 3000 actors from across the US. The weekend is home to reenacted battles, hands on learning exits, and museum living history exhibits. This will be Pack 108’s first time attending so don’t miss this unique and first time offered adventure. Families’ will buy their tickets for the civil war reenactment through the Johnson County Website. They offer 1 day pass and weekend pass. Kids under 10 are free! Pack 108 is only visiting the event Saturday, but families are welcome to get a weekend pass and go back Sunday for some more enjoyment after packing up. Buy the pass that works for your family!

Pack 108 has secured group sites 003 and 004 at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park (approx. 30-40 min from the battlefield). At the Group site we have water and toilets. The RV /Tent site area has a shower and additional toilets for us to use. The group sites are considered primitive- so there is no power on site. Think of a big, wooded area for P108 to spread out it and away from the RV crowd. You can arrive as early as Friday after 4pm and we must be out no later than 10am Sunday. Price for the Campsite is $20.00 per family (regardless of size). The campsite is home to many hiking trails so you can come to the campout and not attend the reenactment if you don’t want to. If you just want to come out Saturday for the day and not camping- you don’t need to pay the Campsite fee.
FYI Fort Mill does not have school on Friday March 14. 🙂
Everyone attending needs to sign up below (even if you’re not camping over)
